90-Something

So it was exactly 90 days ago I crossed the 80-pound threshold in My Fitness Project, but I finally hit the 90-pound mark.

In total, it’s like I’m no longer carrying around an average 7th grade boy on my back (if I’m reading this growth chart correctly).

But the net-90 mark really doesn’t paint the whole [...]

Imparting My iPhone Wisdom: Part II

I made a post about the apps on my iPhone a couple of days ago.
The main complaint I received, mostly from Sweisen, was that I just showed the screenshots from my phone and didn’t really explain any of the apps. I figured that people with iPhones could just look them up in iTunes, but Sweisen [...]

One Hundred In One

Fifty days until the one year anniversary of My Fitness Project (March 21st).
Through the end of January, I have lost 84.5 pounds. To get to one hundred pounds in one year, I have to lose 15.5 pounds in the next month and half. That also happens to coincide perfectly with Caponiti’s Bachelor Party Debacle (March [...]

Update: Pudgy McStopeating

I mentioned last week that I wanted to lose another five pounds before I leave for Baltimore tonight. Why? No particular reason. Just needed some good motivation since the Wahl Family Weight Loss Challenge finished.
I promised Kennedy that she could call me a bunch nicknames if I didn’t make it to the 87.5lbs mark. [...]

Missing Alanis Morissette Lyrics

My motivation for losing this week comes compliments of Kennedy. However, I’m pretty sure if something like this happened to me, it would have the same motivating influence. Isn’t it ironic, don’t you think?
The floor of a Weight Watchers clinic in Växjö in south central Sweden collapsed on Wednesday night beneath a group of about [...]

Pudgy McStopeating

The Wahl Family Weight Loss Challenge has come and gone. I lost to my brother, despite losing 17 pounds in just over a month.
Ever since the challenge ended on Christmas, I have had a hard time regaining my motivation for cardio. I’ve worked out almost every day, but it’s been almost exclusively weight lifting.
I was [...]

A Good Weekend

The weekend started out a little rough, with a 14 hour trip through snow and rain to Arkansas — and the loss in the Family Weight Loss Challenge — but it couldn’t have ended better:
Pros:
Christmas with the Family.
Arm-wrestling Champ.
Won the family bowling outing (w/ a big 127).
Got to celebrate my youngest niece’s second birthday.
Packers crush [...]

Update: Family Weight Loss Challenge

The Wahl Family Weight Loss Challenge has come and gone. And, unfortunately, I did not win. My bro beat me by a couple of pounds (he lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks, compared to my 17.2) in the last few days (I’m blaming the two day road trip to Arkansa). So, he wins the money [...]

Carbo-Loading

I think the last time I’ve eaten at an Olive Garden was in high school. Not that I’ve ever had the urge to eat one since, but I definitely don’t think it’s going to happen any time soon.
The next time you see one of their stupid ‘when you’re here, you’re family’ commercials, think of the [...]

Cut That Meat

Is Peyton a pitchman for MasterCard anymore? I miss those great commercials. They should run them regardless. There are very few tv ad phrases as iconic as “Cut that meat!”:

But, I digress.

As you can see by looking at my fitness project gauge on the right sidebar, I passed the 80lbs threshold today. It took me [...]
